Franchise - Shaikh Husain Raj
Bradford
Shaikh Husain Raj applied for
qardhan hasana to the Foundation in 2006 to set up a
Mailboxes Ltd franchise outlet in Bradford.
This was one of the most ambitious
projects ever brought before the Foundation and the
Trustees set about investigating the application in
detail.
A Trustee visited an existing
Mailboxes outlet and spoke to the owner there who
talked him through the various details and requirements
that the parent company had for its franchisees.
Seeing the set-up and the strength
of the franchise the Trustees then spoke with the
applicant in detail about

the specifics of his venture in
Bradford. The applicant had already identified the
location and informed the Trustees that time was at
something ofa premium.
Keeping this in mind the Trustees
worked quickly to establish the credentials of the
business, made sure the applicant had the correct
security and guarantors and finally, confident of the
applicant’s own ability to make the venture a
success the project was given the go-ahead and funding
released to him to the full extent that he required and
on terms that would allow him to maximise the business
potential without being over anxious with regards to
the repayments on his loan.
Today the franchise is up and
running and close to its first anniversary with the
future looking bright.
