The Saifee Foundation was established in India in 1959 and was the first of many charitable institutions established in the modern era by the 51st Dai al-Mutlaq, Syedna Taher Saifuddin (RA) .

The Saifee Foundation Europe was formed in London in 1964 since when it has given grants, scholarships, aid and; more recently has become the focus of qardan hasana funding in the United Kingdom and Europe.

The Saifee Foundation of Europe was formed with charitable objectives for the aid both of members of the Dawoodi Bohra community and others. Today this has been augmented by ‘The Burhani Qardan Hasana Scheme’ which provides interest free loans.

The funding and nurturing of new and existing businesses is a key objective of the Foundation. When you apply to the Foundation for help you are appointed a business mentor who will take you through from the initial process of assessing your business plan to making the application and then giving you whatever follow-up support you require to successfully establish your business.
