The Saifee Foundation was the first of many charitable institutions to be established in the modern era by the

51st Dai al-Mutlaq, Syedna Taher Saiffuddin (RA) in India in 1959.

The Saifee Foundation Europe was formed in London in 1964, it has proudly given aid to educational projects, and more recently has become the focus of qardan hasan activites in the United Kingdom and France.

At its inception, the Saifee Foundation of Europe was formed with charitable onjectives for the aid of both members of the Dawoodi Bohra community and others without bias to class, creed or any other discriminations, Today this has been augmented by ‘The Burhani Qardan Hasana Scheme’ which provides interest free loan facilities.

The main aims of the Trust as outlined in the deed are:

- The advancement of religion and religious objects

- Relief of poverty

- Advancement of education (especially in Arabic studies)

- Medical relief (Burhani International Medical Association)

- Any other charitable objective
